Arctic Adventure: A journey toward sustainability awarded the Travelife Partner Award

When you think of Arctic Adventure, you think of breathtaking journeys through icy landscapes.

But there is more than meets the eye.
Arctic Adventure is focused not only on offering unforgettable trips, but also on protecting the places we take you to.
We recently received the Travelife Partner Award, which recognizes us for our commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

Achieving the Travelife Partner Award is no small achievement.

It means meeting more than 100 stringent criteria, ranging from office management to product offerings, and from collaboration with international partners to customer information.
All of these efforts fall under the ISO 26000 corporate social responsibility themes, which include environment, biodiversity, human rights and labor relations.
It is full recognition of the sustainability efforts we have made.

But Arctic Adventure goes one step further.

We participate in the SUSTOUR project, an EU-funded initiative aimed at promoting sustainability in the European tour operator industry.
We also stand alongside more than 600 SMEs from 35 European countries to improve their sustainability performance through training, coaching and peer-to-peer learning opportunities.

And what drives all these efforts?

As Henk-Jan Geel, founder of Arctic Adventure, beautifully put it, “If I want our travelers to be able to enjoy nature, we have to set the best example ourselves.”
And we certainly do.
In addition to the Travelife Partner Award, Arctic Adventure also contributes to 1% for the Planet, an initiative in which 1% of all sales are dedicated to nature-related charities.

One Percent for the Planet

This recognition from Travelife, a leading international sustainability certification for the travel industry, is a valuable step in Arctic Adventure’s ongoing journey toward sustainability.
It shows that it is possible to create amazing experiences while taking care of our planet.
This achievement will undoubtedly inspire other companies to follow the same path.

So the next time you think of Arctic Adventure, think not only about the wonderful trips we offer, but also the contribution we make to a more sustainable future.
Because at Arctic Adventure, it’s not just about where the journey takes you, but how you get there.
