Arctic Happenings – Trust the flow of life

Arcti Adventure Happenings Newsletter

Newsletter from Arctic Adventure dated Sept. 20, 2020

Busy, busy, busy. We are constantly planning, making schedules, estimating how long something will take, using our time optimally and doing everything as efficiently as possible. Do you also live that way? Or is there also room for you to be open to life, to move with the flow?

I read an interesting article the other day about what disrupts that flow. According to that article, the enemy of flow is anything that pulls you away from the NOW. Consider distracting thoughts, falling back into patterns, excuses to do other things, seductive suggestions from others.

Living from confidence

If you really want to be in the flow, keep your focus on what you are doing and where you are whittling to. In doing so, you have the choice of living from confidence or fear. You can also say you have a choice of adventure or control. What do you choose?

If you decide to live from trust you will undoubtedly encounter challenges in your path. But when you focus on where you want to go and keep taking steps, you find out that those challenges or setbacks are not so bad in the end.

Letting go of control

So living from trust means letting go of control. For when you think that life should go a certain way, that life should go exactly as you have conceived it, then you are not open to what is possible. That way you have the chance of life working against you.

However, life does not allow itself to be guided,
it can only be guided.

Gifts of life

When you learn to see what happens when you surrender, go with the flow of life, into the flow, space is created. Suddenly, all sorts of things fall to you. These are the gifts of life. Do you also grant yourself such a beautiful gift?

Then join the Go with the Flow Expedition from February 14 to 21, 2021 in northern Sweden. In the heart of winter, everything comes to a halt there. Nature stands still, the landscape stands still, you stand still. Covered under a blanket of snow, everything comes to rest.
Do you want to live in a flow?

In a state of flow

Every day we cover about 20 kilometers through frozen landscapes. Enjoying nature and the endless plain. The first day is tough, cold and you wonder what you started with. On the second day, you unwind and get used to the cold. On day three, you come to an understanding. A personal insight with realization of what you are all about. Everything is bright, clear and explainable. You get into a state of flow.

The rhythm of nature becomes your rhythm.

The best of the Arctic

With the Go With The Flow expedition, we follow the frozen Torneälven River. During the expedition, you will experience the best of the Arctic. We follow the flow of the landscape. Through valleys and across rivers and lakes. The trek can be quite spicy at times. We cover 15 to 20 kilometers daily. So a little bit of biting through at times.

This wrote Tessa who joined us in 2019:

“I thought it was so super cool to do. Intense enjoyment while also taking on a rock-hard physical challenge (and of course some mental challenges). What a wonderful gift to myself and especially what and wonderful gift to my life. Experiencing nature in such a peaceful beautiful serene way. Braving the cold, pushing my limits, daring to lean on the group, trusting each other. Going for it full force.”

Trusting the flow of your body and life.

“And rock-hard enjoyment. Looking around and being intensely happy. Getting up early and watching the sun come up and feeling he-ready for it again. And then those dogs. Getting to drive your own sled, how powerful and precious I felt ;-).

This is a no-brainer for people who do like a challenge, are willing to challenge themselves (physically & mentally), can trust the flow of your body and life.”

I will join the expedition
