Luggage bags for your belongings
Luggage bags for your belongings
When going on a Northern Lights tour or a husky safari, it is very important to bring the right gear.
Obviously, you want to be able to store those items properly.
That’s why it’s best to bring special luggage bags.
With different luggage bags, you can keep your belongings neatly organized during Northern Lights trips and other Arctic tours.
You can mark the outside of the luggage bags with a marker.
That way it is clear what is in each luggage bag.
Luggage bags for your gear are essential, because carrying your gear loose during a South Pole expedition or trip to the Northern Lights is not an option.
In this blog you will read more about the luggage bags we usually use during the winter expeditions we organize at Arctic Adventures.
Waterproof luggage bags that are lightweight
We recommend choosing waterproof luggage bags.
That way, you won’t have to worry about your luggage getting wet during ski expeditions.
The luggage bags we use are also always as light as possible.
Plus, you can roll them up so you can store everything well.
In addition, a bag with multiple zippers is recommended.
If you choose a bag with two zippers, for example, you can keep dirty clothes on one side of the bag and clean clothes on the other.
This way you can keep all your clothes in one luggage bag.
This is quite handy during an Northern Lights expedition or other Arctic Expedition in Sweden, Lapland or Norway, for example.
A trip to the Northern Lights where you don’t want to carry too much luggage.
Luggage bags for your belongings are very important
Are you traveling to the Northern Lights or participating in one of our other trips?
Then it is important to properly protect your belongings.
Besides, you obviously want to keep your luggage reasonably compact.
Of course, it is very important that your belongings can be properly stored.
So it’s not unwise to take a moment to familiarize yourself with the different types of luggage bags beforehand.
That way, you can be sure that you will soon have the right luggage bags to store your belongings.
What is the best way to distribute your belongings among your luggage bags?
If you’re going on an arctic trek, you prefer not to carry too much luggage.
However, you need enough luggage bags for your belongings, otherwise you’ll be constantly searching for your stuff.
It is usually advisable to bring luggage bags for your clothes and also a small luggage bag for your accessories.
You can store these smaller luggage bags back in your larger bag.
This makes it easy to quickly find the right gear during your arctic expedition.
This is convenient because it is annoying if you have to keep looking for your stuff.
For most Arctic Adventure trips, you’ll have enough hand luggage and a few smaller bags in there.
The big things like sleeping bag, tent and sleeping pad will take care of Arctic Adventure and so you don’t need to bring them to the trip.
During the trip you do take those with you on your sled but Arctic Adventure then arranges a bag for those items.

Video on using luggage bags
Below you can read the transcript of the video recorded by Henk-Jan Geel about the expedition materials.
‘I would like to tell you something to keep order in the things you take with you on arctic expedition that I do myself by using bags. I have several of these kinds of bags I write on the outside with a marker what’s in them and the nice thing about these kinds of bags I personally find that they are waterproof they are light and you can roll them up so that what’s in them is just tightly packed up and then you can tuck it away well in your in your luggage so these kinds of bags I carry with me, but I also carry one of those bags with two zippers.
A zipper on one side one on the other.
On this side are the clean clothes and the moment I remove something here it creates space on the other side where I can put the dirty clothes so I like that again of such a garment bag.
I put a longer cord on it myself for the zipper so I can grab the zipper a little easier and last is my accessory bag here are lots of little things in this bag is in my tent bag.
That’s easy to open with a big zipper and what’s in here.
My head lamp, a spoon for dinner, earplugs for sleeping, those kinds of things little frills I have in a big, no small yellow bag.
So super convenient to store your stuff in to keep it organized in your big the sled bag or in your somewhat smaller tent bag’
