Of course, the goal: the Fagradalsfjall volcano. The trek to it is entirely self-supporting, via a road through and over solidified lava fields. The group dynamics initiated by Henk-Jan, the organizer, were very inspiring.

After each (rainy) day of walking, Henk-Jan immediately had a warm cup of soup or broth ready, followed by a main meal. Super. In the morning, coffee or tea and a hearty muesli-like breakfast. Truly: all inclusive.

This is comfort “out of your comfort zone.” Just do it, experience it, and enjoy it, especially afterwards.
